Now, we are going to discuss about linking sounds. Linking sounds is when there is a sentence, we linking the both words each other.

Linking sounds divided into two kinds, that is:

  1. Linking sound Vowel-Vowel

Linking sounds Vowel-Vowel is when in the first word ending with vowel sounds and in the second word starts with vowel sounds.

Example :

  • Do all your assigment now!

  • Who is your closefriend?

  • I have a reservation for tonight.

  1. Linking sounds Consonant-Vowel

    Linking sounds Consonant-Vowel is when the first word ending with consonant sounds and in the second word starts with vowel sounds.

Example:

  • Can you turn off the lamp?

  • My email address is citranursepti@gmail.com

  • Did you think about the assignment from Mr.Ramli?

With learn linking verb make we easier to understand what the native speakers say and we can talking with them correctly. That’s all for discussion in this time about linking sounds.
